Mazda Mx5 Mk1 Arrive and Drive and Owner Driver racing packages

MX Motorsport offers numerous support packages to suit your situation, from deciding which championship you wish to enter for a full racing season, to selecting individual race meetings from one or more championships, perhaps focusing on your favourite or local circuits rather than a full national championship. You may wish to participate as a championship guest in the odd race before committing to a full season in the future. Whatever works for you, we can tailor your racing package to suit your circumstances, whether it be time or budget limited or a bit of both!

BRSCC MX5 MK1 Championship

7-8 race weekends from March to Oct visiting all the top circuits, with 20 minute qualifying and 3 x 20 minute races over 2 days

BRSCC MX5 MK1 Clubman Championship

Both BRSCC championships race at the same weekends but with 15 minute qualifying and 2 x 15 minute races over one day usually a Saturday

5 Club Racing – 750 Motor Club

7-8 race weekends from March to Oct visiting all the top circuits, with 15 minute qualifying and 3 x 15 minute races over 2 days

Test Days

3 or 4 Group sessions (same or similar powered cars) spread over the day with no limits on overtaking, unlike trackdays where you can only overtake on the left. Test sessions usually last upto 25 or 30 minutes per session.

FRIDAY Test Days

Every race weekend is also preceded by a TEST DAY, normally on the Friday, enabling you to get in some track time prior to qualification to learn the circuit and fine tune your driving techniques within the race car.  Test days give you the opportunity to spend invaluable track time with your competitors in a non racing environment, to learn the track, to assess how competitive you are and to fine tune your car accordingly. Test days are all about optimising yourself and your car prior to qualy. If you want to be competitive, this is probably one of the most important days of your race weekend as a good qualy sets you up for the whole race weekend.
